Gurgen Vardanjan

Gurgen Vardanjan ((アルメニア語:Գուրգեն Վարդանյան), (ロシア語:Гурген Норикович Варданян), born 18 October 1963)〔 is an Armenian figure skater who competed for the Soviet Union. He is the 1983 Grand Prix International St. Gervais silver medalist and a two-time Prague Skate bronze medalist (1981, 1984).〔
Vardanjan was born in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, Soviet Union.〔 He was coached by Elena Slepova, Elena Tchaikovskaya, and Edouard Pliner in Moscow.〔 After retiring from competition, he turned to coaching. Vardanjan was based in Budapest, Hungary from the 1990s until April 2010, when he was appointed Director of Skating at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham, England.〔 He has coached Júlia Sebestyén,〔 Diána Póth,〔 Tamara Dorofejev,〔 Tigran Vardanjan, and David Richardson.〔 He and Jeranjak Ipakjan are the parents of Tigran, who was born 26 March 1989 in Moscow and competed for Hungary.〔〔
